Get to Know Dr. Chase Gottschalk
Committed to Excellence
Dr. Chase, a proud native of Orono, MN, found his calling in dentistry through his early experiences at Engstrand Family Dentistry. Dr. Chase's exposure to the welcoming atmosphere and genuine passion for dentistry at Dr. Engstrand's practice ignited his interest in the field at an early age.
Chase's journey showcases a diverse background, from his time as a four-year starter and senior captain at the DIII Carleton football program to serving actively in the US Navy for four years after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Marquette University's dental school in 2019. Chase's studies at Carleton focused on Biology and Biochemistry which included a trimester on an ecology program that took him across Australia.
During his Navy service, he provided dental care to recruits at boot camp in Great Lakes, IL, and spent two years aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN77) out of Norfolk, VA.
His service included a 9-month deployment during the Russia-Ukraine conflict, showcasing his commitment to both dentistry and national service. Driven by a passion for helping patients achieve their best selves, Dr. Chase brings a unique blend of experience, dedication, and compassion to the Modern Dentistry of Minnetonka.

Compassionate, Expert Care
Dr. Julia's journey into dentistry was inspired by a personal experience as a patient, where she witnessed the transformative impact it had on both her oral and systemic health. Driven by a passion for creating positive experiences from the patient's perspective, she embarked on a career dedicated to enhancing smiles and overall well-being.
Dr. Julia graduated with honors in Biology and Biochemistry from Augustana College. She then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2019 where she spent four years refining her skills as a lead dentist and managing clinical director at Aspen Dental.
Dr. Julia's dedication to continuous improvement led her to pursue additional training in implant surgery, clear aligner therapy, and Botox services for TMD and facial esthetics. Her diverse skill set, coupled with her genuine commitment to patient-centric care, makes Dr. Julia a valuable asset to Modern Dentistry of Minnetonka. She can't wait to meet you!

What to Expect
Your First Visit
The Patient Experience
When you first walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted by our comfortable environment and our friendly office staff. You'll be invited to sit down and relax without worrying about any paperwork, as we send you all the new patient forms ahead of time online to fill out at your convenience. Once you've had a chance to meet our front staff team, you'll be invited back to one of our operatories.
You’ll receive a cleaning, comprehensive exam, x-rays, and digital scan, and your doctor will sit down with you to discuss the results. If everything looks good, you’ll be able to schedule your next appointment in the front office. If anything needs extra attention, your doctor will explain the results and take time to address any questions or concerns you might have, and they will describe any further treatment recommendations.
WHAT TO BRING
To help make your visit more efficient, we ask that you bring your ID, and your insurance information, and fill out new patient forms prior to your appointment.
